i used the single AAA solitaire on my AT thru in 92. still have it and
it's working well. have to replace the battery regularly, but the light it
gives off is fine for reading. if the battery is fresh, night hiking is no
problem with it. lithium batteries work much better than alkaline,
brighter for much longer. i love it.
