I got this from the association today to post to the website. Make sure you
bring your 45 so you can shoot any mice you see <gdr>

Hantavirus found in mouse near PCT.
Health officials in Riverside county, California found a mouse infected with
this potentially lethal virus just west of the PCT near Mt. San Jacinto last
month. Hantavirus is spread by the saliva, feces, and urine of rodents,
primarily deer mice. It dries and is carried in dust into the lungs of
humans,
filling them with fluid and causing respiratory distress. It is rare but
often
fatal for those who do catch it. Symptoms include high fever, muscle aches,
cough and headache- much like the flu. After several days, the respiratory
problems worsen. Prevention: avoid direct contact with rodents, their
droppings or burrows, avoid sleeping on bare ground or near woodpiles or
garbage
areas that rodents frequent.
