[pct-l] Cameras

about cameras,
the Yashica T4 is one of the best for compactness and minimal weight. It's a
fixed lens, so no zoom, but it has a super high quality Carl Zeiss lens. it's
sharper than both of my other larger body SLRs and most of their lenses. They
do make one with a zoom, but that's more weight, and more likely to break
with more moving parts which cost more to get fixed, etc.
The cost is about $200. the weight i don't remember. light 6 ozs or so. has
tripod mount, timer, fill flash, red-eye,weatherproof. the only drawback is
it's view finder is a bit hard to find when wearing glacier glasses. It can
do low level light stuff pretty good too when it's still. Lithium batteries
available, too. little ones, not AAs

Olympus' infinity line is still great, not as sharp but really user friendly
and usual amenities. some fixed, some different types of zooms.

hope this helps anyone who's shoppin'!
