[pct-l] more JMT alternatives

> I can't remember all the names off hand, but coming from Kearsarge you go towards Charlotte Lake (?). Continue down valley and then contour across a hillside then up (southwest, I think) over a pass into an area that I think is called Gardiner basin. From there make your way around to another pass between Gardiner (?) and Sixty Lakes Basin. From Sixty Lakes you can go out via Rae Lakes. The loop could be done in a few days or longer depending on how much time you spend exploring, swimming, sunning.
> I haven't done the entire loop, but I went up to the pass that goes West from upper Sixty Lakes basin into Gardiner Basin. It is a glorious pass layered with huge slabs of granite. The pass was not at all difficult or exposed when snow-free, but I had the feeling of doing a bunch of bouldering moves without fear of falling anywhere.
> On the descent I misplaced my partner and ended up returning up the pass to look for him as it was getting late. It turned out he'd returned to camp a couple miles away without checking in with me. This entitled me to drink the rest of his wine with dinner since I spent an hour+ looking and shouting! Descending darkness and a missing partner made me aware that I hadn't prepared for my day hike as thoroughly as I should.
