Reinhold, If you are really addicted to the trail, maybe you should slow
down a little and really enjoy the next trip. I don't see how anyone can
enjoy the JMT if they don't take the time to actually see what they are
walking through. What's your hurry?
Jim

Unfortunately, you have not met him. His heart beats to a different rhythm
in the Sierra's wilderness than anyone I've ever met. I couldn't question
his hike anymore than he could hike mine. Hyoh is too simple an answer to
understand why anyone would take a month or less than a week to pass their
body and soul through a similar spiritual wilderness treasure we each
embrace as our own. I go into the wilderness or Sierra for my own reasons,
unquestioned, unanswered, and unending.... as you and anyone is free to
do... But to meet anyone with the ability to do what would seem impossible
and unreasonable on the JMT is truly an incredible life moment, and I
fortunately met him there serendipitously near Muir Pass..
For just a little background on Reinhold, here's an outdated story from
2003..
