I'm having a hard time figuring what you mean by the Kick Off being a bit 
late?  You can always start earlier and get back to the KO.  

Starting the weekend of the KO gets most to Kennedy Meadows during the 1st 
week in June, which at times may be a bit early.  A slower pace or hanging out 
at KM for a few days is always an option.
