[pct-l] Oregon PCT Section Hike 2006

I hiked the Eagle Creek trail and thought the scenery was great and did not notice the climb.  As for total elevation accumalation .... I think it is a wash when you are talking about that many miles.  A good starting point is

  As for THOSE dirt roads - it is only another two days of hiking to get to Seide and you can wait at the PCT oasis (campground) rather than hanging out on a dirt road that will be next to impossible to get to.

Which direction has less elevation climbs - NOBO/SOBO?

I know that the Eagle Creek alternative route is a fairly steep climb going southbound, and I know that the last couple of days of CA is a climb )NOBO into OR)... Either direction, I'll probably get dropped off/picked up near the CA/OR border (via those dirt roads).
