[pct-l] GPS - PDA

Am planning to solo about 1000 miles of the PCT next year and am 
wondering what other's experiences with a combination GPS - PDA - 
cell phone might be.  Would need field-replaceable batteries, SD or 
MMC cards and hopefully could send email with it.

Being 65 I'm a little reluctant to take off without the phone, and 
being impatient may leave early enough to absolutely need a 
GPS.  Thanks for sharing whatever experience you may have with this stuff.
