[pct-l] pct runners?



I think the problem with running the PCT on your own with no support crew is 
that your body just can't handle it.  This guy who did run it must be a 
freak of nature.  I bet he walked parts of it (I'm sure he spent the 
required extra night at the Peter Grub hut anyway).

You'd have to average a 20-25 mile run everyday.  At that pace a hiker would 
make the same distance because that is what we hike everyday (except for 
squeaky , of course.  He is busting 45's all the time).  Can you imagine 
running a marathon everyday through the mountains?  I think running, for the 
average person (even in awesome running shape), who doesn't have some kind 
of bionic commando legs, just isn't possible...

That is a total tortise and hair story.  Can you imagine it.  This guy has 
to get up and run and then at the end of the day you camp together every 
night.  That would put a damper on things for him!
