I really don't like reading global warming debates on this mailing
list. It is not really on topic, and tends to push people even
further off topic as the discussion develops. I am a confirmed
global warming skeptic and while I was thinking about whether I
should attempt to achieve some semblance of catharsis with a
withering retort I googled the net in search of laser sharp factual
material. Instead, I found this:

(And I know some of you will have to set aside some prejudices even
to visit a site with such a URL.)
It appears rather likely that we now have or will soon have pretty
solid evidence of, at least, a human caused spike in CO2 levels.
Even right wing nuts are beginning to take notice. This still leaves
some questions:
What is the relationship between CO2 and climate?
Is there anything meaningful we can do to decrease CO2 emissions?
Will efforts to reduce CO2 emissions actually stabilize climate?
Will I be required to give up my alcohol stove?
When I breathe too hard going uphill, do I endanger the planet?
What about cows?
Where can i go to escape the endless political posturings and
contemplate something altogether pleasant, like this (wonderful
nature scene in case the link doesn't work):

Anyway, I learned something today.
