Just a few yards after the bridge, head off into the forest. There's an old
forest service log cabin there... or at least its remains. When you get to
the ford, there is a huge tree across the river. It's possible to get across
without getting wet. Once you cross the river, there's about a hundred yards
of serious brush busting to come out on the trail. I ran into two forest
service people checking bridge conditions and they guided me across. Good
deal.
