You know I love you and would never give you any bad advise ....... 

All they really want and hope for is a nice present. 

Give them the present in advance, and they couldn't care less if you attended 
the ceremony.

They won't even notice that you're not there. (providing you supply an 
alternate loud obnoxious drunk wedding guest)
