[pct-l] pantheism and hiking
hiking is a religious experiance, for sure. I am a
staunch athiest, but when i am out among the trees and
rivers, i know that the 'higher being' people talk
about is Mother Earth. and you hit the nail on the
head with your hypothesis about muir, thoreau,
emerson. we could even throw Edward Abbey in there.
Maybe mister George Bush should take a look into this
'religion'...
