[pct-l] God and G-d

OK...............................
I've been hitting delete, delete, delete with this god thing, but I admit
that a concious connection with my inner self is just as much a part of my
hike as the scenery. They can't be seperated.
Before even hiking 300 miles from Campo on last year's thru-hike, a few of
us were amazingly, and miraculously aware enough to identify our inner most
focus, our inner most desires.
This is what I wrote:
"...we (thru-hikers) seek not so much the spiritual experience of the great
American wilderness, as that of a Seven-Eleven chili dog." -May 2004
It was true! If thoughts are prayers, it was always in our prayers. After
describing that chilidog in detail, Donnie B.(aka Popcicle or Donnie Veto)
begged me to stop talking about food. (The next day we had AYCE spagetti!!)

cents.

what hiking is to begin with. Meditation and solitude is the only way to
come close to and communicate with God, the Universe, the All and any name
it goes by. The clutter of day to day living are what keep us separated
from the Universe.

you like inventing terms. Real truth goes beyond religion. Though, it is
doubtful people realize this til they die, or leave this part of the
universe we now inhabit.
