The Teutonic Knight (Bill Jennings) has kept register records in past years, but I don't know that he has of late. The PCTA can give you information about the number permits issued, but I don't know if they keep stats on intended entry and exit points. I still haven't done my tally for this year's crowd, but we've seen an average of 250 per season in Agua Dulce, and we get close to everyone that's headed north from the border. There are a fair number who start at Kennedy Meadows each year, as well.

Dear All, I know this last year was a tough one with all the rains and
people went on and off the trail. However, does anyone have an idea of how
many people start and how many people finish the PCT? I understood from the
website about 300 a year try. Any numbers anyone has would be appreciated.
