Yes, I've heard this.  When Darrell and I were on one of our  Alaskan  trips, 
we were shown photographs of a bear who was rolling with  glee in something 
that the photographer claimed was bear spray residue.   Who knows what the bear 
was truly rolling in... This is proof?  Nah, but  heck, I'll believe 
anything.  What they SAY is that once a bear actually  gets a taste of the spray, some 
of 'em like it and can smell the residue on the  cans, coming back for more.  
Must be bears who like chili -- green or  red?
