Likely the best solution.

Hopefully custom insoles will solve the biggest of your problems, but
finding shoes/boots will probably still be a challange. If you've already
had issues with your feet being too tall, custom orthotics will likely
complicate that as they typically add quite a bit more height then
standard insoles.
