[pct-l] Scariest Sound



You are talking about a Ruffed Grouse drumming.  This is a part of a
breeding display to attract females.  Not sure if they commonly do this at
night. Generally more than three beats - Sasquatch seems like a much
better explanation.

Scariest sound: about 50 cows with bells running through my camp just
south of Oregon border at about 3 am.  I could see the headlines "solo
hiker stomped by musical cows".
