Hi,
I have been using the Granite Gear Vapor Trail
backpack for about 2 years (450 miles). I think it's
great. Very well made, well padded shoulder straps and
hipbelt. My pack is usually in the 20-25 pounds range
with food and all. I don't know anything about the
Gregory G. I must admit that I bought my pack based on
the fact that Backpacker Mag recommended it and it
seems to be very popular on the AT. I wasn't sure I
wanted to give up my old, external Kelty, but when I
saw how comfy the Vapor Trail was, I was ready! I sure
liked reducing my pack weight by 2-3 pounds.
Happy trails,
Susan Alcorn
