[pct-l] driving access at California-Oregon border

I want to greet two hikers at the California-Oregon border. I drive a 2WD Chevy van. I would like to meet them near the border rather than at I-5. Any directions and/or road descriptions would be appreciated. I have been part of the support team of these young hikers since Campo and want to be able to greet them as they cross the border and give them a ride back to home and school. Thanks Doug
