[pct-l] question regarding water at Pioneer Mail Trailhead near Mt Laguna

I have a question: 

I was able to find the water labeled "non-potable for horses only" at the Pioneer Mail Trailhead near Mt Laguna. 

But not able to find another potable water source. In the Data book, it mentions water here but I couldn't find another source. Did I miss it? If so where is it in relation to the non-potable water? or is this water treatable?
