[pct-l] Hiker Update - San Jacinto

I received a note today 4-27 from Tom and Michelle Tom who jumped back on
the trail at
the Pines to Palms Hwy on Sunday 4-24 -- 12:30 pm...  The note was dated
4-26 and they were in Idyllwild.  

		"The trail from Pines to Palms to Saddle Junction and down the Devil's 
		Slide Trail was fine.  There was hardly any snow up hill (thru) the
Andreas Canyon
		part of the trail.  Then snowy all the way to Saddle Junction.  We navigated
		OK using map/comp[ass/GPS.  Crampons & Ice axe were very useful.

		We're off tomorrow (this would be Wednesday 4-27) to carry on through
		Fuller Ridge."

They plan to give me a call Friday when they get down the hill and if they
get a 
hitch into Cabazon.. I will report conditions ASAP.

I will also send a copy of this to Anza Trail Angels so they have this info
to post 
at Pines to Palms crossing.

Dave and Michelle Toms are from England and still need a TRAIL NAME.
