[pct-l] Palm Springs meeting spot?

My husband Kevin and I are starting the trail in a little over a week and are planning on
spending a couple of days with family in Palm Springs along the way. I'm just wondering about
meeting logistics...does anyone know if there's a pay phone close to where the PCT crosses
the I-10? (my map shows some town-like features (West Palm Springs?), but not sure if that means a place to make a phone call) Is there a spot not too far from the trail that we can call
them from?
