One of the things i hope to have at the KO is  maps of Laguna, San Janicto,
Angles forest showing routes to get around Baden Powell as well as some maps
out of K MDWS all the way to Yosemite. A16 will be at the kickoff and will
deliver purchased items the next day so perhaps maps can be obtained that
way.Most of you will go to Donnas place where rides are given to Sports
Cnalet where you can also buy maps and if folks go down to LonePine maps are
there too.......
trying to stay out of the VVR pros and cons i know i went over to the JMT
ranch in 94 and did not go into VVR. They too are expensive to get a drop
but for those souls not planning a stop in VVR its an option....I WOULD try
now to see whats what this year up there at JMTR. Normal years lots of folks
go K/M to Yosemite in 10/11 days without dtopping , i don't think that is
wise this year. Going out to independence over to Reds is also doable so
skipping VVR is an option as well.
