[pct-l] First PCT Thru-hiker/Eric Ryback

My brother has been a Buddhist monk for 14 years now. When he was 17 he
and a bunch of friends and two adults who dropped out halfway through
the trip hiked the JMT. This was 1972 or so. He bought Eric Ryback's
books on hiking the PCT and CDT. This Christmas he relinquished them
"letting go of his attachment" and gave them to me. I read them back to
back over two nights. Both inspire.

ice patches on the north sides of buildings...
