[pct-l] First PCT Thru-hiker/Eric Ryback

In the Pacific Crest Trail Quarterly, Vol. II, Nos. 1 and 2 combined,  Winter 
and Spring, 1974, they published a letter from Thomas Winnett to Warren  
Rogers, dated May 2, 1974.  In it they state that the $10,000,000 libel  suit 
against the authors of the Pacific Crest Trail Volume 1 was dropped due to  the 
supposed false statements being proved true.  It is a good read.  

I agree strongly with a previous post.  Eric did us all a favor by  providing 
the basis for huge inspiration to all of us who have followed.
