Subject: [pct-l] Hiking with Arthritis/use of DSMO
Message-ID: <BAY16-DAV796B3CF38993CB894AF2887450@phx.gbl>

I will be doing a section hike on the PCT this year. However, I have developed arthritis in my knee, but I will not be deterred. I have been seeing a chiropractor for another reason and asked if he was aware of any products other than all those pills that damage your heart. He told me to try DSMO and CMO. The DSMO is a solvent which is applied to the skin and gets absorbed into the blood stream. It gets rid of the pain. The CMO relives the inflammation. He said that DSMO was banned in the USA because protesters used to add acid to it and sprayed it onto police officers. It then was absorbed into the bloodstream!!!. He said it is great as a pain reliever by itself and could be obtained at health stores like GNC or online as a solvent. Well I found some and it works!!!! My only question is if it has any negative side effects. My Chiropractor said it may irritate the skin somewhat and to make sure my skin is clean so that nothing else gets in my blood stream. Also, don't get it in your eyes.

Has anyone else heard of this or used it or heard of any negative side effects?

I just got back from a 10 mile hike, got a shower and applied DSMO and fill like a young buck again. Hot dag!!!PCT here I come.
