[pct-l] Sierra Snow Entry Prediction

OK, here is the scenario: Jump ahead several months. You have waited as
long as possible, but there are still very significant snow levels. Your
basic mountaineering skills are novice at best, but conditions be damn, you
are going for it!

Questions
---------
1. What changes to your equipment list would you make.
2. How much does this slow you down.

1. Ice axe, instep crampons, extra down layer, colder rated sleeping bag,
consider ultra-light snow shoes (!), good fleece gloves, balaclava, long
underwear, waterproofed boots rather than trail shoes, tent that will shed snow rather
than tarp.

2. A ten mile day in the High Sierra with snow coverage is a good day. You
might be able to do a few 15 mile days in better conditions.

YMMV, HYOH,
