[pct-l] First Hikers of the Season

Like the swallows returning to Capistrano, the first hikers of the season arrived in Agua Dulce yesterday (after a start from Soledad Canyon).  The hikers were Billy Goat and Cloud Walker, with Cloud Walker's wife Edna driving the support van.   They plan to do the trail in somewhat disjointed sections, owing to the weather and Sierra snow levels.  They reported abundant water in the seasonal streams, and absolutely beautiful wildflower displays.  

Several other section hikers are arriving to do Section C & D in the next few weeks.  There are boxes for a nobo thru hiker indicating that he'll arrive mid-April.  The season is getting underway!
