[pct-l] Books for tent reading

Hi Terriann,

Cindy Ross' "Journey on the Crest" is what inspired me to hike, I can
heartily recommend it. I also liked Angela and Duffy Ballards' "A Blistered
Kind of Love". Both are about the PCT and also about hiking as a couple.
Karen Berger's "Where the Waters Divide" is a beatiful account of the CDT.

Other than that, I liked reading "Into Thin Air" by Jon Krakauer, "Zen and
the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" by Robert M. Pirsig and of course the
"Lord of the Rings" books by Tolkien.

In the end I have almost never any time to read, but I feel 'naked' without
a book. I did not have one on my JMT hike last summer and I missed it only
once. Next summer, I will bring something, anything. Possibly in French, so
that I don't finish it too fast.
