[pct-l] 2003 San Diego Area Cedar Fire



still living at home.... sounds like a real winner....

I feel pretty lucky to have gotten in a hike in Cuyamaca State Park the day
before the fire got up there.....I watched it approach from the summit of
oakzanita peak, and probably entered the last entry in the summit journal.
By the time I headed home, the freeway 8 was closed down and I made it
through a gauntlet of flames on the North and South sides of Lyons Valley
Rd.

Quite an experience, I hope I never see it again.
