Benson-Eagle Cutoff (and Benson Plateau in general) is a dangerous trail in
the snow, IMHO, because it is easier to go up than come down when you get
into the snow area, and tell yourself that you can just go a little bit
further to see what's going on and suddenly have to come back down. It's
pretty hairy espcially with snow on it and people get SAR'd out of there on
a regular basis, even in the late spring.
Use with caution.
