Late last summer, actually mid-September, we ran into some local postings
for "no fires."  This was south of Bishop Pass.  It appeared the postings
were by local fiat rather than something system wide.  But recall that last
year the precipitation was 67% of normal and we're doing much better so far
this year.  Too, that was at the end of summer in the Southern Sierra,
probably not a concern for NoBos.
