[pct-l] Energy Bars



After a couple weekends in the Angeles Crest
mountains, I learned the best non-perishable trail
food is a mixture of almonds and raisins. You are thus
provided with a mixture of high-quality protein,
high-quality fat (almond oil is very good for you),
fiber, simple & complex carbos, and some vitamins &
minerals. This sits nicely in pockets, and a big
handful with a swig of water keeps you full for a
while.

I'm looking into recipes for making my own energy
bars. When I come up with a good one, I'll post it.

I'm a fan of the Emergen-C packets as well. Tangerine
or Raspberry are my faves.
