Frogg Toggs worked well for me. They are waterproof and the price is right. I might have been willing to trade armpit zips for a tiny bit more weight. Sometimes I got as wet inside from the sweat (but warm wet) as the rain would have made me. Also with the trekking poles the rain would work its way past the elastic at the wrist and I would have matching puddles of water at each elbow. I don't know if other rain gear worked better or not...., but it is difficult to match the high fashion statement I would make when I did my laundry wearing my gray Frogg Toggs looking every bit part of a HazMat crew. More than once the others hanging out in the laundry would nudge one another, nod a head in my direction and roll their eyes..., but not get too close either. Buzz
