[pct-l] High Sierra entry date
Of course if it melts as fast as last year then June 01 would still work. I
hope it melts slowly... deep snows are irritating at the time but make for
my best memories... these seems to be an inverse effect--the harder the week
the hapier the memories... must be something to do with how we store
memories... at least that's how it works for me.

Subject: [pct-l] High Sierra entry date
I'm in the planning stages of my first thru-hike. I read here earlier that
someone was starting their John Muir Trail hike on May 15th. This seems very
optimistic to me with this year's snow levels. I was thinking of getting to
the High Sierras by mid to late June.
Any thoughts would be helpful.
Robert
