[pct-l] snow in april?

hey all - 

we're 3 new PCT hikers who want to go for about 2
months - we only have from april 12th to june 10th
free. we were hoping to start north of the sierra
nevadas and work our way toward washington, but after
reading the reports of snow we're worried that that
won't be possible. does anyone have any idea if there
will be too much snow to do that section that early?
if so, does anyone have any suggestions for a 2 month
stretch somewhere? (anywhere?)
