These acquired lands will gain "Wilderness" status, and will be just as
protected as all other Wildernesses Areas.
the only way this is going to happen is to get rid of californias wacko
antieviroment richard pombo ,chairman of the house committee of resouces. he
constantly blocks wilderness protection,with a strict interpetation of the
wilderness act,an interpetation which has been disavowed by the origional
authors.to put this in proper perspective,if pombos interpetation of the
wilderness act had been adopted from the begining,there would be no
emmigrant,no glaicer peak,or alpine lakes wildernesses ,in fact by his
logic, not one of the many wilderness areas that the p.c.t. crosses would
exist.

i just got my p.c.t.a. renewal in the mail and before i re up,id like to
know where the p.c.t.a. leadership stands in regards to this clown.he
constantly votes against the p.c.t.,and our interests ,and to make matters
worse ,his district is next door to the p.c.t.a.s headquarters.so i guess my
question is in 06 our we going to stand up against this guy or what?
