[pct-l] sharing my pain . . . .

Sorry to hear that, Yogi.

I commiserate....I was very ill after the AT and
didn't think I'd ever be able to thru-hike again. I
proved myself wrong.....Then, this past year on the
PCT, I developed foot pain that they've diagnosed as a
special case of tendonitis caused by collapsing
arches. I walked with the pain 2300 miles - just told
the foot, "sorry, but I have to keep going."

Some wear and tear has to be expected, but I
understand how you feel.....very scary to think of any
physical problem ending the possibility of
thru-hiking.
