This is another one of those really stupid laws.  Maybe there should just be 
signs that say "Don't pick up orange clad hitchers, they may be excaped 
convicts!" or more simply...   "Hikers with backpacks are cool."

Just in case y'all haven't seen it before, my partner Cobweb, in a staged 
shot near Grants, NM....
