I generally carry/wear a pair of rei convertible pants, stretchy running shorts in place of underwear, a columbia long sleeved, quick drying, shirt that buttons up the front, several pairs of liner socks, a pair of mittens, a homemade fleece cap, a pertex nylon wind shell, a poncho (that doubles as a tarp in an emergency) and either a fleece jacket (about 18 oz) or a thick thermal base layer shirt (about 9oz) depending on the area I'm going to be in.  
    I am curious to learn more about the "Buff". I looked at their website but it was difficult to get an idea of the manifold uses that they claim it has.  Maybe if I could get the demo video to work...
