[pct-l] Technology on the Trail



It actually works the other way. Speaking too loud can overdrive and cause
distortion and breaking up. This is more a problem on analog radios than on
digital phones.

It is a strange phenomenon that some people talk so loudly when on a cell
phone, or talking to someone who speaks another language -- as though merely
talking louder makes it easier for the person on the other end to
