[pct-l] Technology on the Trail



It's a matter of degree...

Blathering inanely for no good reason on a cell phone in the wilderness:
certainly reprehensible.
Carrying one for emergency purposes and very occasionally using it to
reassure worried family members: I can live with that. Most conscientious
hikers wouldn't dream of disturbing someone else idyll with their cell phone
conversation. Of course, if you find one that would, feel free to pelt
him/her with rocks and garbage.=)

HYOH isn't a valid reason or excuse to be rude, crude or obnoxious.
Afterall
one shouldn't or wouldn't take or make c-calls in a place of worship.  Is
the
wilderness much different?
