Technology on the trail?

I have opinions.  Agree with me and you'll be right....in my opinion.

The wheel has been invented.  My life is better with it than without it. 
This one's a yes.

I don't carry a Michellen in my pocket.
That would have very little benefit and they don't make them light enough
to justify that...................... Yet.

Safety is good.

If my opinions had any weight in these technology matters, my pack would be
very heavy.
