[pct-l] Is the " Golden Age Over?"

That's an intertesting post Monte and draws a wonderful contrast of The Trail.

The PCT being the epitome of natural beauty, together with the human character
shows the trail as a whole.

In your example, the DECREASE of man made creations on or near the trail, could
this be interpted as a reinforcement of the 'golden age'?

The less human encroachment on The Trail, the better. No?

Here's a game I like to play. Next time you're outside, take pause of your surroundings.
What do you see that WAS NOT placed/manipulated by the human hand? In some instances,
as far as you can see, nothing has escaped mans touch. This is truly a shame and 
these places I avoid like the plague.
