Hi ladies,

I have my hair long too. I've found it more practical. Short hair under a
hat or a cap becomes messier, I think.

Not washing your hair with shampoo for a week or so is actually good for
your hair! This summer while hiking on the JMT, we arrived at VVR where I
washed my hair for the first time in a while. It was instantly shining and
soft like seldom before.

If I would be hiking a lot in cold and wet weather, I might consider
cutting my hair. In a bun or ponytail it seems to keep cold and wet for a
longer while than short hair.
