I'd like to a put in a word of caution about big miles in Oregon.
I had to get off the trail in Cascade Locks due to a metatarsal
stress fracture. I was a bit frustrated to have a stress fracture
after 2100 miles (and over 3,000 miles in the previous two years).

In my case I think it was a combination of many small things that
caused the stress fracture but big miles is near the top of the
list. I had lots of 25+ days and a few 30+ days in Oregon. I
might have been able to finish if that had been lots of 20+ days
and a few 25+ days.

Obviously it is hard to generalize about this sort of thing, but
I do think that over-use injuries are more common as the miles/hour
and milage/day increase.

Oh yeah, I liked Sisters a lot. They even have a town campground
with a tenting area for bikers and backpackers for $5/night (no
showers, just restrooms). I just washed up in the creek running next to
the campground. I don't think there is any cheap motel/hotel
options in Sisters.
