I use the Feathered Friends Great Auk on the JMT and other parts of
PCT. It's a 35 degree (F) bag with just a pad slot on the bottom - no
down. Usually too hot and I end up using it like a quilt. Spent one
night on Whitney though, windy all night and the coldest night I've
ever spent in a bag. (didn't use a shelter).
