[pct-l] Whitney to Bad Water

Can anyone with mapping software tell me how far it is (as the crow flies) from the summit of Mount Whitney to the lowest spot in the contiguous United States (Bad Water, in Death Valley)? I cannot find it anywhere online but have heard recently that it is barely eighty miles...is this correct?
