[pct-l] Guidebooks - don't leave home without them

Do yourself a favor - photocopy the Guidebook pages and don't destroy your 
book. Put two guidebook pages onto each page. Use the blank otherside for 
notepaper or fire tinder on trail. Alternatively, double-side the copies and 
get 4 pages onto one. You loose the notepaper but still have fire tinder if 
needed.

You DEFINITELY want the route descriptions with you. As Yogi says, trail 
sign evaporate or get deliberately pulled down; rock cairns fall or get 
kicked over. Trail goes into the meadow or across hard surfaces and POOF, 
it's gone!
